Privacy notice

The short version
- Accounts are for adults: parents, guardians and coaches. Not for children.
- We find your player by jersey colour, jersey number and approximate size only. No face recognition. No biometric data.
- The full game recording stays on your phone. Only clips you finish or send for cloud work are uploaded.
- No advertising trackers, no cookies on this website, and we don't sell personal information.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We keep your email address and credit history afterwards, only so free sign-up credits can't be claimed twice.
Who we are
StandoutReelz is operated by [Legal entity name: to be confirmed], [Registered address: to be confirmed]. For anything about privacy, contact us at [Privacy contact email: to be confirmed].
Who the service is for
StandoutReelz is built for adults who film youth sports: parents, legal guardians and coaches. You must be 18 or older to create an account. The service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly let a child create an account. If you believe a child has created one, contact us and we will delete it.
Filming children, including other people's
Youth games involve minors, and most of them are not yours. We designed the product around that:
- No face recognition and no biometric identifiers. We do not create face prints, face geometry or any other biometric template of anyone, child or adult.
- To keep the frame on your player we use the jersey colour, the jersey number and the player's approximate size on screen. Other people in the frame are not identified.
- Highlights are cut tight around the play you tagged, so less of everyone else is kept.
You are responsible for what you record and share. Follow the rules of the venue, league and school, and think twice before posting a clip where another child is the focus without their family's agreement.
What we collect
Your account
Your email address, and if you sign in with Google or Apple, the basic profile that provider shares (name and email). We use Google Cloud Identity Platform to run sign-in, so your sign-in details are stored with Google on our behalf. We never see or store a password: sign-in is by emailed link or by your Google or Apple account.
Your videos and stats
- On your phone: the app keeps a running recording of the game and saves the plays you tap, with the stat, game and time. This stays on your phone.
- Uploaded to your account: finished highlights, so you can keep and share them; and, only when you choose cloud work (a cloud render or Pro Zoom), the clip that work needs.
- How long we keep uploads: clips uploaded for cloud processing are deleted after a short period (currently 7 days), and finished highlights are kept for the retention period of your plan. These periods are still being set during the beta and will be stated here.
This website
The website sets no cookies and uses no third-party analytics or advertising tags. When you browse it, your browser sends anonymous measurements to our own server: which page you viewed, how quickly it loaded (Core Web Vitals), whether you are on a phone or a computer, and steps such as “sign-up link sent”. These records contain no name, email address, account id or IP address. Our hosting provider (Google Cloud) keeps standard server request logs, which include IP addresses, for up to 30 days for security and troubleshooting.
While you are signed in, the sign-in library stores your session in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB), which is needed for you to stay signed in.
How we use it
- To run your account and sign you in on the website and in the app.
- To process, store and deliver the clips you ask for.
- To keep track of your credits and, when billing launches, your subscription.
- To email you about your account and, during the beta, to invite you to the test build.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the website performs and where people get stuck.
We do not sell or rent personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use your videos to train AI models.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run the service for us: Google Cloud and Firebase (hosting, sign-in, storage, app test distribution) and, when subscriptions launch, Google Play for billing. AI upscaling for Pro Zoom may be performed by a specialist processing provider; the clip is sent only for that job. We share information if the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: from your account page, or by emailing [Privacy contact email: to be confirmed]. Deleting your account removes your sign-in, the clips stored with it, your players' names and numbers, and your devices.
- What we keep after you delete: your email address, when the account was created, and its credit history (credits granted, spent and refunded, and store purchase records). We keep these to stop the free sign-up credits being claimed again by deleting and re-creating an account, and to honour store refunds. If you sign up again with the same email, the account is restored with its remaining credits and no new sign-up credits.
- Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it, by emailing [Privacy contact email: to be confirmed].
- Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have further rights. We will honour them; contact us.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and stored in Google Cloud. Uploaded clips are kept in private storage tied to your account.
Changes
We will update this notice as the product develops, and change the date at the top. Material changes will be announced by email before they take effect.
